AFS Morgans not only raises Morgan horses - we use them.  Sometimes we will have not only Morgan foals, broke Morgans but gentle, quality horses of other breeds.  You can be assured that horses purchased from us will load easily, stand for your farrier and veternarian, and be as represented to you.  We like to have all our buyers view and handle their prospective purchases before they decide to purchase.  Visitors are always welcome!

A note about training-- We try hard to match our horses to riders with the ability to safely handle them.  If the horse has a vice or quirk, we will TELL you.  Safety is #1 when handling horses.  When we say our horses have XX number of days on them--that means they have been rode a minium of one hour per day--many times more than that.  Plus you get that great Morgan disposition with our registered horses--if you've never seen nor handled a Morgan we invite to just come and browse and find out WHY we like them!

Linda, our daughter-in-law, has decided to offer her nice registered 6 yr old gelding, Woody, for sale.  He is six years old, registered, Triple S breeding on the top and bottom.  Woody was trained by Linda, is solid-broke, and has been trail ridden extensively for the past three years.  He is 15.2 hands tall and 1100 lbs.  He stands for the farrier, loads and trailers well.  Friendly, kind disposition.  Always one to greet you in the pasture.  Linda has had beginner riders on him and he did well.  Recommended that at least one experienced horseman be available to guide a beginner, though.  It's not often you find a nice gelding like Woody in the prime of his life for sale.  Linda is offering him for sale as she has several other horses she has in training. AFS BLUE MOON (Syringa's Knightyme Magic X RG Cattle Ann) - 2003 BLACK GELDING, has dressage potential,   Blue is absolutely gorgeous, a real looker.  Loves his oats!   Has great feet and legs. Loads and trailers well.  Blue is going to work in a feedlot for a few months and won't be available for sale until spring 2010 as a solid broke horse.  $3200 spring 2010

AFS Cajun King with his new owner Victor Bozic of Gillette, Wyoming.  Victor will be using King for cattle work and trail riding.
AFS Rimfire Colt Twentyto has gone to his new home in Lander, Wyoming, where Renea Ostlund is starting his training by ground driving and the basics.  She plans to use him for trail riding in the mountains.
 

 AFS Jazzy Tomcat has been SOLD to Katrina Cheverette of Quincy California. Look for him with Katrina or one of the Twins on board in the future in the Open Eventing classes.  At 17 hands (no kidding - HE IS 17 hands) -- he should do well in the discipline!

Payton Breeze (Silvershoe Flying Breeze x Trailhead Primrose)sold to Michelle Hoyt in North Dakota Update:  Michelle reports that she is enjoying Payton on the trails with her friend and that he is a very good trail horse.

AFS Cherokee Cowboy is SOLD!  Congratulations to the Jessop Family of Green River, WY.  That is Garrett Jessop on Cowboy right after they purchased him.  Cowboy had only been halter-broken and turned back out.  He had not been handled much at all.  In thirty minutes Garrett could sit on him.  Our Kid colts have a GREAT DISPOSITION.  It just doesn't get any better than this folks.  Foaled June, 2003  gelded.  The Jessops also purchased AFS Wyoming Buddy    The Jessops wanted colts they could break themselves.  With his wonderful disposition, this 2004 colt was great choice. Congratulations to Sheryl & Dan Jordan of Casper, Wyoming on their purchase of this nice foundation-bred quarter horse mare from the Jespersen Ranch in Upton, Wyoming.   Penny was one of Andy's favorite horses and he is glad she got such a nice home!
