29 years of experience with computers.
Custom software: I write custom code to reflect your business; I don't shoehorn your business into "one size fits none" software.
Two phase development: I'll write the requirements specification with you. Then you can hire me or someone else to write the code.
I write software so that you can easily customize and modify it as your business changes.
Standards: All code I write conforms to appropriate standards. HTML to an appropriate W3C standard
, C to the ANSI C standard, etc. This produces portability, ease of maintenance, and product longevity. In the case of web pages, it produces faster loading pages that work correctly on more browsers.
No tie-in: You get the complete source code and documentation. You are not tied to my apron strings for support or further development. That also means that if I want your future business, I have to earn it.
Excellent documentation: Because I am also a writer, my documentation is clear and concise.
Support after the sale: I will answer questions and provide support to you for at least a year after you accept the product.
Extensive research: See if I can't find a program to do what you want. It might even be free software.
Long experience with Open Source Software (OSS): I know when to use it and when not to use it. Because I use OSS, I can often find a package similar to what you require, and can adapt it to your needs. This is much less expensive than writing from scratch.
I specialize in Open Source Software (OSS) such as Linux, OpenOffice.org, and Emacs which I use daily.
