Research shows that our mentoring works. Kids with a Big Brother or Big Sister show real differences in their personal and academic lives. They are:

 

·           46% - Less likely to begin using drugs.

·           27% - Less likely to begin using alcohol.

·           52% - Less likely to skip school.

·           37% - Less likely to skip class.

·           33% - Less likely to hit someone.

 

More confident in the performance of school work.

Better able to get along with their family members.

After an average of seven months of having a Big Brother or Big Sister, Little Brothers and Little Sisters who meet with their Bigs regularly have:

 

· 65% - Improved their attitude toward school

· 74% - Increased their school preparedness (homework)

· 81% - Increased their trust toward adults
