AFS Morgans currently has five
breeding-age mares.
Since we also use our horses, not all mares are bred every year.

RG Cattle Ann was
bred by the Grunden Ranch in Nebraska
She has six crosses
back to Flyhawk. She is 15.2 hands,
a rich dappled bay
with little white, and has the classic
'Flyhawk' trot that
is found in so many of his descendants.
She has had fourfoals
for us, AFS Millenium Jazz (2000); AFS
Jazzy Tomcat (2002);
AFS Blue Moon (2003)., and
AFS Miss Kitty (2004).
Tyrstar was bred by the Biddick Ranch in
Laramie, Wyoming by
Wales Wendburg.
She is a nice deep chested mare with a good hip. Her lines
go to back to the midwestern
breeding of Fudge Royale and also
back to Gallant King. She is gentle and kind but with the
Morgan get up and go! Tyrstar is
the dam of AFS Tyrs Ragtime Melody (2002) and
AFS Cherokee Cowboy (2003). She is
my riding mare, so I don't like
to breed her a lot and lose her for a year!
Starlight was bred by the Davidson's not
far from Chadron, Nebraska. She
has come to us recently
as a three year old that has not been handled much. Yet
she displays a very nice Morgan
temperament and has one of the best
hips to be found on a Morgan. Starlight's breeding also goes back
to Gallant King.
She is the dam of AFS Cajun King (2003)
and will be bred to
Syringa's Knightyme Magic for a 2006 foal.

HEAVENLY SENT
"Ember" is a big 16 hand mare with a heart of pure gold. She is here
from the La Reata/Jespersen Ranch who brought
up from Oklahoma. I've long admired Beth Binion's stallion, Courtnaire,
and he is one of Ember's grandsires.
She will be bred to the Meadowlark Jazz Spur lines and will produce
wonderful sport Morgans.
That is if we can quit riding this sweetheart!

TYRS RAGTIME MELODY
Melody is Tony's mare and he uses her as his main horse, especially
for checking cows over in the summer pasture. She will
be bred eventually but probably not often if Tony has his say!
